‘RHONJ’ Stars Reveal Exciting Insights on the Show’s Future After Dramatic Season 14 Finale (Exclusive)

The stars of The Real Housewives of New Jersey have plenty to say about the future of their beloved franchise.

“I see it coming back because it was too good not to,” Dolores Catania told Us Weekly exclusively on the red carpet of the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards on Wednesday, September 11. “In a perfect world, I feel we’re an ensemble cast. I would like for us all to return, but that’s not up to me.”

Although Dolores, 53, doesn’t have any insider information on the show’s future following the season 14 finale last month, she remains hopeful about being part of it.

Jennifer Fessler, who played a “friend” role on the show, is equally optimistic about RHONJ‘s return.

“I predict it’ll come back with at least some of the current cast members, and I think we’ll see some new faces,” Jennifer told Us at the VMAs, jokingly adding that she might even become a full-time cast member.

“We’ll see,” she continued, admitting she’d be happy to step into a full-time role if offered. “I know it sounds cliché, but I’ve really loved where I am. Everything has been perfect for me, so I’m good either way.”

The RHONJ season 14 finale was nothing short of explosive, featuring a heated confrontation in a private room at Rails Steakhouse. Glasses were thrown, and lines were crossed, leading to the cancellation of the reunion special. Instead, Bravo had the women return to Rails, where they were separated into two rooms to relive the dramatic events of the finale.

Jennifer, for her part, left the lunch at Rails early, explaining, “When glass gets thrown and things are breaking, I’m out.”

“I knew what I signed up for with Housewives,” she told Us, acknowledging the chaos. “It’s not like I expected it to be all kumbaya, as Dolores said. But there’s always a line for everyone.”

Fellow “friend” of the show, Jackie Goldschneider, also weighed in on the future of RHONJ.

“It’s such a great show that I can’t imagine it not coming back in some form,” she told Us at the VMAs. “But I do think things will have to change because it got too dark.”

Jackie went on to say, “The issue with Jersey is that the fights escalate too much, they get too heavy, and there’s no coming back from them. Everyone ends up hating each other. I’d love to see a cast—hopefully, including me—where the conflicts are more petty and can be resolved, so we can all have fun.”

In addition to Dolores, Jennifer, and Jackie, the RHONJ cast includes Margaret Josephs, Teresa Giudice, Melissa Gorga, Danielle Cabral, Jennifer Aydin, and Rachel Fuda.

As the future of RHONJ hangs in the balance, one thing is clear: the drama isn’t going anywhere, and the fans are eagerly awaiting what comes next.
