Teresa Giudice Slams Anna Delvey for Staying in the USA After Prison Time

Teresa Giudice remains an undeniable icon of The Real Housewives of New Jersey. However, after a contentious Season 14, the series is on pause as Bravo rethinks its direction. While awaiting the show’s future, Teresa has shifted her focus to House of Villains Season 2. But not everything has been smooth sailing—especially when a co-star suggested bringing Anna Delvey onto the next season of the show.

Teresa Giudice Takes Issue with Anna Delvey’s ICE Status

In a recent interview with E! News, the House of Villains cast discussed potential new additions to the show. Wes Bergmann suggested Anna Delvey, but Teresa was quick to voice her objections. “Because she went to prison,” Teresa argued, “she was convicted of a crime, and she’s an immigrant who’s still in this country.” Teresa’s criticism stems from a sense of injustice, especially given her own family’s history with the legal system.

Teresa and Anna do have some similarities—both have served time in prison, and both have competed on Dancing with the Stars. Anna, famously, posed as a German heiress and was convicted of defrauding individuals and businesses. Following her early release, she was detained by ICE for visa violations and has been fighting deportation ever since. Despite her legal challenges, Anna was granted special permission to travel from New York to California to participate in Dancing with the Stars.

A Personal Connection to Deportation

Teresa’s strong feelings about Anna’s situation are rooted in her own experience with deportation—specifically that of her ex-husband, Joe Giudice. After completing his prison sentence for multiple counts of fraud in 2019, Joe was deported to Italy. Unlike Anna, Joe wasn’t allowed to remain in the United States during the deportation process.

“I disagree with that because my ex-husband got deported. So why is she still here? My ex-husband couldn’t even get out of jail and come home and wait until he got deported,” Teresa explained. It’s a fair question—why is Anna’s situation being handled differently? In this case, Teresa’s frustration seems understandable.

Teresa’s Choice for House of Villains

Fortunately, the potential clash between Teresa and Anna won’t play out on screen, as they’re not appearing on House of Villains at the same time. When asked who she would like to see join the show, Teresa suggested another familiar face: “Kenya Moore. She’s always had my back,” she said. “I would want her to be on my team, and together, we could take everyone else down.”

House of Villains Premieres Soon

Fans of reality TV drama won’t have to wait long for the action. House of Villains premieres with a special two-night event starting Wednesday, Oct. 9, at 10 p.m. on E!, followed by another episode on Thursday, Oct. 10 at the same time. With Teresa Giudice leading the way, viewers can expect plenty of fireworks.
