Lisa Barlow Reacts to Accusations of Quitting RHOSLC Over Monica, Shares Alleged Evidence of Monica Spying Through Jen Shah’s Security System, and Discusses Talk with Monica’s Friend
Lisa Barlow recently addressed rumors surrounding her alleged threat to leave The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City if Monica Garcia returned for the new season. Additionally, she shared claims that Monica had accessed Jen Shah’s security system to eavesdrop on her conversations and described a conversation she had with a friend of Monica’s about this situation.
Monica, a former friend and employee of Jen Shah, became embroiled in controversy after Jen pleaded guilty to fraud. Allegations surfaced that Monica had listened in on Jen’s security system after their friendship ended. Furthermore, she reportedly made drive-by videos of Jen’s home and was involved in creating a “troll” page aimed at exposing Jen’s actions. When her involvement with the page came to light, Monica lost her place in the show’s cast.
During an appearance on the Scheananigans podcast, Lisa was asked which cast member would be most likely to reconnect with Monica.
“Whitney, because they’re alike,” Lisa responded, as seen in a clip shared by @connectionqueenx on Instagram. “In certain areas, they’re 100 percent alike.”
Lisa went on to address accusations that she and Heather Gay had worked to prevent Monica’s return to the show, and that she had threatened to leave if Monica rejoined the cast.
“It’s my show. I’m not quitting. I helped bring it to Utah,” Lisa asserted. “I don’t have that power. If I had that power, I would have a better edit season one through now… I’m getting accused of everything I don’t do. It’s annoying.”
She suggested that even if she tried to influence casting, Bravo would not be swayed by her input.
Lisa also addressed a claim from Monica, alleging that Lisa was seeking a spot on a private jet with Snoop Dogg.
“My friends were flying to meet Snoop Dogg for their business,” Lisa explained. “So, I wondered, how would Monica even know about that conversation? Then, I ran into one of her friends and asked, ‘Did Monica ever log into Jen’s security system and listen to her?’ They literally responded, ‘How did you know?’”
According to Lisa, there was evidence, including videos, that Monica had been accessing the system. “Those kinds of things are dangerous—logging into someone’s system, doing drive-bys of their house. It’s so invasive. Monica couldn’t escape the consequences of those actions, and she never took accountability. She never apologized.”
Lisa further mentioned how Monica had called her “ugly” during the reunion. Reflecting on her interactions with Monica, she remarked, “She was hard to deal with. It was easier to have a conversation with my 12-year-old than Monica.”
Lisa’s statements shed light on the strained dynamics among the cast and the serious allegations that may have impacted Monica’s standing on the show.
