RHOC’s Alexis Bellino Unsure if Her Wedding to John Janssen Will Be Filmed – Here’s His Take (Exclusive)

Alexis Bellino and John Janssen are looking forward to tying the knot—but their wedding may not be televised.

The Real Housewives of Orange County couple made an appearance at the DIRECTV Gets Real party, hosted by DIRECTV, PEOPLE, and Entertainment Weekly on Thursday, September 26. At the event, they discussed the possibility of their wedding being filmed for Bravo.

“We’re not going to film it. It’s not going to be a Bravo special or anything like that. I don’t even know if they’d want that,” Janssen, 61, shared, nearly a month after proposing during a romantic stay at the San Ysidro Ranch in Santa Barbara, California.

Bellino, 47, added that while they’ve informed Bravo about their wishes for their special day, the final decision on whether it will be filmed remains uncertain. “I don’t know, so stay tuned,” she teased.

One thing Bellino is certain about, however, is why Janssen is “the one” for her. “This man has shown every quality I had imagined, even things I didn’t realize I needed,” Bellino shared during the event, hosted by Love Island USA’s Ariana Madix.

“He’s strong, he’s loving, and caring. He helped me through my darkest moments in such a loving way. He’s my rock. And he’s funny,” she continued with a smile. “He’s funny, which is f—— important.”

Janssen humorously chimed in, saying, “The only person who thinks I’m funny is Alexis.” Still, both agree that their engagement—coming just months after they began dating in December 2023—has them feeling like they’re on “cloud nine” and that they’ve finally gotten it “right.”

Reflecting on the proposal, Bellino shared with PEOPLE that the most memorable part was “the shock” of it all.

“I really thought he was going to propose earlier, but he did it when I least expected it. So, it was a surprise—but I loved that, because it was just the two of us,” she recalled.

“She knew it was coming, but not exactly when,” Janssen added. Before dating Bellino, Janssen had been in a relationship with her RHOC co-star Shannon Beador.

Following the proposal, Bellino happily shared the news with her followers on Instagram on August 28, writing, “On Cloud 9 🎉❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️, celebrating 9 months of love and laughter, and looking forward to my forever with you. Every moment together has been a gift. I am so in love with you and the beautiful life we’re building together with our kids. And the answer is 100000000% yes.”

Her heartfelt caption concluded with a quote from the Bible: “1 Corinthians 13:13 And now these three remain: faith, hope, and love. But the greatest of these is love. #giftfrommymom.”
