Teresa Giudice Slams Anna Delvey: ‘Why Is She Still in the US After Prison Release?’

Teresa Giudice has graced TV screens for 15 years, earning her place as one of reality TV’s most iconic villains. It’s only fitting that she returns for Season 2 of E!’s House of Villains, which premieres this week.

In a recent interview with E! News, the 52-year-old shared her thoughts about joining the show and revealed her initial hesitation. “At first, I didn’t like the whole villain title, and I was like, ‘I don’t know if I’m gonna do this,’” Teresa confessed. “But I have to say, I am so happy I did it. I met amazing people, and it was a great experience.”

The conversation then shifted to a fun question: which celebrity would Teresa and her co-stars like to see join them in a future season? With House of Villains Season 2 bringing back Season 1’s standout, Tiffany ‘New York’ Pollard, there’s an expectation for more familiar faces to return.

When Wes Bergmann, known for his fierce competition on The Challenge, suggested that he’d like to see Anna Delvey—the infamous fake heiress—join a future season, Teresa was quick to express her disagreement. She drew on a personal experience, referencing her ex-husband Joe Giudice’s deportation after serving a 41-month sentence for bankruptcy fraud and tax evasion.

“She went to prison, and she was convicted of a crime, and she’s an immigrant, and she’s still in this country, so I disagree with that,” Teresa stated firmly. “My ex-husband got deported, so why is she still here?” She continued, “My ex-husband couldn’t even get out of jail and come home and wait until he got deported.”

Joe’s deportation was a significant and emotional storyline on The Real Housewives of New Jersey (RHONJ), as he had to leave behind his daughters and his life in the United States.

Teresa isn’t the only one questioning Anna’s presence in the U.S. Many criticized Anna’s participation on Dancing With the Stars earlier this year, especially when she appeared in the ballroom still wearing an ankle monitor. After serving nearly four years in prison, Anna was released in 2021 on good behavior. Her infamous story as a fake heiress became the inspiration for Inventing Anna, a hit Netflix limited series that brought her even more notoriety.

Despite the fame, Anna’s indifferent attitude on DWTS didn’t win over viewers, and she became the first celebrity voted off in Season 33.

As for Teresa, fans can expect plenty of drama from her in House of Villains as she clashes with Tiffany Pollard once more. House of Villains Season 2 premieres on Wednesday, October 9, at 10/9c on E!, with Season 1 available for streaming on Peacock.
