RHOSLC’s Whitney Rose Faces Accusations of MLM Involvement & TikTok Backlash – Join the Live Discussion
A TikToker recently suggested that Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star Whitney Rose might be involved in a controversial MLM (multi-level marketing) scheme, even going as far as to call the company “full of scammers.”
For context, multi-level marketing (MLM) is a system where individuals sell products while recruiting others to do the same. While MLMs themselves are not illegal, some can operate like pyramid schemes, raising concerns among participants.
In early October, TikTok influencer @carlyesquerra posted a series of viral videos claiming that Whitney Rose was connected to an MLM called Sol People. Carly shared, “It all started when I joined a brand new network marketing company ‘led’ by Whitney Rose & Ashley Headlee called Sol People.”
Carly explained that she joined the company during its pre-launch phase and encouraged her friends to become part of it as well. Initially, everything seemed normal in terms of earnings, management, and products, but then, according to Carly, things began to change.
“Two of my leads left the company… They had personal convictions based on some of the digital courses,” Carly stated, adding that she had exchanged text messages with Whitney in an attempt to regroup after these departures. Carly shared screenshots of what appeared to be their conversations about scheduling virtual meetings.
Carly also recounted how her team had signed up for a Sol People conference, which was unexpectedly rescheduled. The rescheduling left them with non-refundable tickets, as the company allegedly did not reimburse the costs of their hotel and flights. Instead, participants received $100 in product credit as compensation.
Shortly after, two of the top earners within the company allegedly resigned. Carly expressed her suspicion, writing, “Safe to say when top leaders making $20k in a month leave – there’s more to the story…” She shared a TikTok that she believed shed light on the company’s practices. “I am in utter shock at the … behind the scenes of this business and the track record of these people.”
Reflecting on her experience, Carly admitted, “I would have never known to look into this stuff. And now that I’m learning about it, I am mind-blown. Basically, every single person within this business of sōl people are like scammers.”
Despite her concerns, Carly believes Whitney Rose may have been unaware of some of the company’s actions, suggesting that she might have been “dragged along” but was likely “in on all the knowledge.” Carly further alleged that Whitney’s husband had prior connections to companies that faced legal action.
It’s important to note that Carly’s statements remain allegations, with no verified evidence that Whitney, the company, or her husband have been involved in any illegal activities.
