Bravo Stars Express Their Heartfelt Condolences to RHOC Alum Lydia McLaughlin Following Her Mother’s Passing
The Real Housewives of Orange County alum Lydia McLaughlin recently shared heartbreaking news with her followers—her mother, Judy Stirling, has passed away. Since the announcement, fellow Bravo stars have been offering their love and support during this difficult time.
Among those expressing their condolences is Andy Cohen, who shared a touching message for Lydia. Many former and current Housewives, including Gretchen Rossi, Alexis Bellino, Vicki Gunvalson, and Camille Grammar, also reached out with words of comfort.
Lydia and her mother Judy were a memorable pair on RHOC, known for their unique bond. Judy was always ready with a pouch of fairy dust, which she would sprinkle on her castmates during tense moments, bringing a bit of magic to every situation. The duo first appeared on the show in Season 8, sharing their close-knit relationship with viewers. After that season, Lydia left the show but returned in Season 12 for one more run before stepping away again.
Offscreen, Lydia and Judy’s close relationship continued, with the two sharing many family trips and fun adventures on social media.
Lydia McLaughlin Shares Heartfelt Tribute to Her Mother
Lydia took to social media to announce the sad news, posting a heartfelt photo of herself and Judy during happier times. “My mom passed away last night,” she wrote. “🤍 We are heartbroken but we know she’s dancing with Jesus. 💫 Fairdust, confetti bombs and crowns like heaven has never seen before.”
She closed her post with a loving message to her mother: “👑 What’s in the cat is in the kitten, and I promise to continue to make you proud @ocjudymom 🌟.”
While Lydia did not disclose the cause of her mother’s passing, it appears that Judy had been battling an illness. At one point, her condition seemed to improve. In December 2022, Lydia posted a video of her mom, calling it a “Christmas miracle.” She wrote, “God is good, faithful, and still heals today. 🙌🏽 @ocjudymom has been fighting for her life, and this past year has forever changed my family. We have stepped into bold prayers, big faith, and seen miracles all around us 💫.”
Bravo Stars Rally Around Lydia with Messages of Support
Following the news of Judy’s passing, many Bravo personalities sent their heartfelt condolences to Lydia and her family. Andy Cohen, who has long been a part of the RHOC community, wrote, “Fairy dust in the sky! ✨ Thank you for sharing her with us ✨.”
Alexis Bellino offered a deeply personal message: “Lydia, I’m so sorry for your loss. I know your pain right now. I loved EVERY SINGLE THING about your mom. I’m only a phone call away. Love you, sweetie. ❤️❤️💔🙏.”
Gretchen Rossi shared, “Lydia, just heartbroken for you all 💔 Judy was such a light and a gift straight from Heaven.”
