Tamra Judge Believes Karen Huger Is ‘Completely in Denial’ About DUI in RHOP Season 9

Tamra Judge is making Real Housewives’ DUIs her business, and her latest target is The Real Housewives of Potomac star Karen Huger, specifically critiquing her attitude towards her own legal troubles.

Fans of The Real Housewives of Orange County know all too well how seriously Tamra takes accountability after a DUI. Her relationship with former best friend Shannon Beador suffered significantly after Shannon’s DUI, due to her continued drinking. Tamra expected Shannon to adopt a zero-alcohol policy and even publicly labeled her an “alcoholic,” though she later apologized for her comments.

Now, with a new season of RHOP airing, Tamra has shifted her focus to the Grande Dame herself, Karen Huger.

Tamra Judge questioned Karen’s perspective on her DUI, suggesting it’s not just “something that happens to you” after watching the RHOP Season 9 premiere.

During a recent episode of her Two T’s In a Pod podcast, co-hosted with Teddi Mellencamp, Tamra brought up the topic.

“How do you feel about Karen referring to her DUI as an ‘accident?’ I feel like she’s in total denial at this point [of filming]. And you choose to drink and drive. It’s not something that happens to you,” the RHOC star asked Teddi.

Teddi responded, “You didn’t trip over a curb.”

“You didn’t twist your ankle,” Tamra agreed. “So that, to me, was a little upsetting.”

Of course, due to legal reasons, Karen is limited in what she can say publicly about the DUI. However, her choice of words seems to downplay the seriousness of the situation. Karen also referred to herself as “blessed” for surviving the incident.

This season, Karen has been receiving notable support from her frenemy, Gizelle Bryant. Teddi and Tamra also discussed the “chill dynamic” between Karen and Gizelle during their podcast episode.

Teddi, however, questioned how genuine this new dynamic is. “I feel like Gizelle and Karen maybe had practiced this prior?” she suggested.

With the season just beginning, it remains to be seen whether Karen will address her DUI with a different perspective as time goes on.
