Joel Kim Booster Publicly Apologizes to Shannon Beador: “I Am Truly Sorry”
A few weeks ago, Joel Kim Booster made waves in the Reality TV world with a surprising online rant targeting Shannon Beador. The host of Love Hotel—a new dating show that features Shannon—took to Instagram to criticize her for allegedly mistreating people behind the scenes. The accusations caught many off guard, including Shannon herself.
Since then, Joel has publicly apologized to the Real Housewives of Orange County star, admitting that he let their on-set conflict cloud his judgment. Meanwhile, Shannon was stunned by his remarks, especially considering how she recalled sharing a positive moment with Joel at the wrap party. She disputed his claims, noting that she didn’t remember being confronted at the event.
Fans of Bravo quickly rallied behind Shannon, as well as Luann De Lesseps, a RHONY alum who also participated in filming Love Hotel with Shannon. With Joel’s apology, it seems the drama is finally coming to an end, as he takes full responsibility for his actions.
Joel Kim Booster Owns Up to His Mistakes on Social Media
Following his heated comments about Shannon, Joel took to his Instagram Story to express regret. In his initial post, he reflected on his actions over the past weeks, writing, “I let an onset conflict cloud my judgment and accessed the darkest, ugliest part of myself. I said things I don’t stand by or even believe, and I am deeply sorry.”
In a subsequent message, Joel acknowledged that Shannon has faced “an extraordinarily hard year,” something she has “bravely” shared on RHOC. He hinted that her personal struggles might have impacted her behavior during filming, something he could relate to from his own experiences. “I should have had more grace for her in that moment,” Joel admitted. “I am deeply sorry for the ways in which I’ve made Shannon’s road toward stability more difficult.”
Before concluding his apology, the comedian expressed regret for overshadowing the upcoming show, emphasizing that he remains proud of the project despite the controversy.
Luann De Lesseps Stands Up for Shannon
Throughout the ordeal, Shannon found a strong ally in her Love Hotel castmate, Luann De Lesseps. The former countess, who filmed alongside Shannon in Mexico, defended her during a conversation with Melissa Gorga, dismissing Joel’s claims that Shannon had been difficult on set.
“It’s so crazy ’cause I didn’t notice that at all,” Luann remarked, adding that she never saw Shannon mistreating anyone during their time filming. She also revealed that Joel had apologized to the entire cast after his initial outburst and shared that she felt sympathy for Shannon, who had been “hurt” by his comments.
With apologies made and support from her friends, it seems the dust is settling on this chapter of Reality TV drama. Fans and cast members alike are eager to move forward as they await the debut of Love Hotel.
