RHONY’s Jessel Taank Reveals Why She’s Reluctant About Having Another Baby (Exclusive)

Although Jessel Taank discussed expanding her family with her husband Pavit Randhawa during the Real Housewives of New York City season 15 premiere, the mother of two admits she’s not exactly looking forward to the process of getting pregnant again.

In an exclusive interview with PEOPLE, the 44-year-old reality star opens up about her mixed feelings toward the idea of having another child. While the couple has been discussing adding a new member to their family, Taank isn’t excited about the physical toll it would take on her. “I think the conversation is really not easy because I have to go through the motions of IVF to conceive,” she says, referencing in vitro fertilization.

“I wish it was easier for me, but it isn’t,” Taank continues, candidly addressing the challenges she faces. “Conversations about having another baby just come with a lot of effort because I can’t just get drunk and get knocked up naturally.” With a touch of humor, she adds, “As much as I wish I could because it would make this so much easier, you’ll see us navigate what that journey looks like and what that path entails.”

Despite the challenges, Taank still holds hope for expanding her family. “But I would love another Jessel,” she shares with a smile, imagining the possibility. “I mean, it would be so cute to have a baby girl.”

Taank also touches on her husband’s initial concerns about having another child, especially when it comes to financial and logistical considerations. “Pavit is a really simple guy, and for him, it comes down to the financials and logistics,” she explains. “Things like buying an extra airplane ticket or booking another hotel room.”

“It’s about how much money it’s going to cost, whether we can afford it, and do we really need to do it,” she adds. “So I think he’s a bit hesitant. And of course, having another child is also a lot of work.”

In the season premiere, which aired on October 1st, Taank’s lighthearted conversation about possibly having another baby brought an amusing yet unexpected reaction from her husband.

“So I got an invoice for Dr. Wong today. We are paying a lot of money for embryos,” Taank said with a laugh during the episode. “They’re being stored in Beverly Hills, so we need to figure out what to do with these embryos.”

“No more kids,” Randhawa replied bluntly, shaking his head.

“Don’t you want a little girl?” Taank pressed.

“No,” Randhawa responded.

Taank, determined, reminded him, “We have the girl in there. We can’t just shut it down.”

Randhawa, slightly yielding, said, “We’ll see.”

Jessel, trying to lighten the mood, joked, “What if we had the next Beyoncé? Or what if we had the next Elon Musk in that freezer? And then you’re like, ‘Bye, Beyoncé. That sucks.’”

Randhawa, with his trademark wit, responded, “I’m okay saying bye to Beyoncé, but Elon Musk I’ll take.”

Their playful banter underscores the real-life discussions and decisions many couples face when considering expanding their families, blending humor with the more serious aspects of the journey ahead.
