Step Inside Gina Kirschenheiter and Travis Mullen’s “Dazzling” Date Night Adventure
On Saturday, September 28, The Real Housewives of Orange County couple Gina Kirschenheiter and Travis Mullen attended LA Impact, a fundraising gala hosted by Family Equality, a group advocating for LGBTQI+ rights. The couple made their way to Los Angeles for the event, which was filled with inspiring stories and memorable performances. Gina later shared glimpses of the evening in an Instagram Reel on October 5, showing her and Travis dressed to impress as they supported the cause.
“What a night!” Gina captioned. “[Family Equality] is doing big things, and I’m here for it! [LA Impact] was a dazzling evening filled with story-telling, advocacy, and community building! They raised more than $400k for LGBTQ+ families! It was a pleasure to be a part of it!!”
A Star-Studded Evening with RHOC Favorites
Gina and Travis weren’t the only familiar faces at the event. Fellow RHOC cast members Heather Dubrow and Alexis Bellino also attended, as seen in Gina’s Instagram post. The star-studded evening featured appearances by RuPaul’s Drag Race winner Jinkx Monsoon and Queer Eye for the Straight Guy alum Jai Rodriguez. Honorees for the night included Modern Family’s Jesse Tyler Ferguson and his husband, producer Justin Mikita.
Heather Dubrow kicked off the evening with a heartfelt toast, where she announced that she and her husband, Dr. Terry Dubrow, would match the first $50,000 raised. “I have a vision of the future where every child, every family, can shine as brightly as they deserve,” Heather said, according to Family Equality’s press release. “No child should be left out because of who their parents are, how they identify themselves, or who they choose to love… Terry and I have proudly supported [Family Equality’s] life-changing work for over a decade, and our family is truly grateful to each of you for being here tonight to help ensure this important work continues.”
Gina and Travis’ New Living Arrangements
The event came less than a year after Gina made the difficult decision to ask Travis to move out of their shared townhouse in Orange County. As revealed in the RHOC Season 18 premiere, Gina explained that their six children, from their blended family, had outgrown the space.
“Now, they need space. They need privacy,” Gina said in the episode. “We went and looked at houses, and we looked at what it would take to get into a house the size of our family, and we can’t afford it. Honestly, my gut is telling me that we need to live separately and see where the chips land.”
Stronger Than Ever: Gina and Travis’ Relationship and Business Ventures
Despite their decision to live separately, Gina and Travis seem to be thriving as a couple. They continue to enjoy date nights, family gatherings, and a successful working partnership in real estate. On October 8, Gina took to Instagram to celebrate their latest achievement—a successful home deal.
“Went from closing out the latest season of [RHOC] to closing out our latest transaction!” she proudly captioned the post. “Thrilled for our clients!”
Gina also opened up about her relationship during a July appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen. Despite a challenging year, she assured fans that things were on the right track. “You know, we had a bad year and we’re still not through all of it,” she admitted. “But I think we’re handling it well.”
It seems that Gina and Travis are continuing to move forward, both in their personal lives and their careers, proving that even after the toughest times, they can find a way to thrive—together.
