The former RHOP star, who announced her pregnancy back in April, recently shared her thoughts on life as a mom during an interview on Fox 5’s Motivation with Melissa. “It’s surreal,” Candiace gushed. “He’s seven weeks and four days today, and I still wake up saying, ‘Oh my God, there’s a baby here.’ I can’t believe I’m a mom.”

The Overwhelming Joy of Motherhood

Adjusting to motherhood hasn’t been easy, but for Candiace, the joy outweighs the challenges. “It doesn’t feel real yet. I can’t get anything done because I’ll just hold him all day and night, staring at him in awe,” she shared. “It’s the strangest, most beautiful thing.”

Her bond with baby Jett is so powerful that Candiace admitted she’s reluctant to share too much with the public, particularly when it comes to showing his face. “It feels so special to have him all to ourselves,” she explained. “I know so many people rooted for us and prayed for us, and I wanted to share that he’s here. But I’m also aware of how scary the world can be, and I want to keep him safe for as long as I can.”

Candiace assured fans that, in time, they will get to meet Jett more fully, adding, “Of course, eventually, we will show him. You’ll see him soon.”

Motherhood has also reshaped Candiace’s perspective on having children. “I do wish I had taken the leap sooner,” she admitted. “I’m so in it now, and I just feel so comfortable.” The singer and reality star hinted that she hopes to expand her family in the future, making her bond with Chris and baby Jett even stronger.
