Brynn Whitfield, star of The Real Housewives of New York City, has unveiled a fresh new hairstyle, but she’s still coming to terms with the unexpected change.

On October 4, Brynn shared her hair transformation in an Instagram Story, just moments after a spontaneous decision to chop her locks. The video, filmed inside a New York City salon, captures Brynn’s surprise at her new look. She explained that she initially visited the salon to accompany her friend, Alyssa Julya Smith, and had no plans to change her own hairstyle.

“Unplanned. Came with Alyssa to get her hair cut and [I was] in such a good mood I just randomly thought why not,” she captioned the video.

Brynn entered the salon with long hair reaching her mid-back but left with a sleek, shoulder-length cut.

“We trusted. It wasn’t planned. And we’re doing it,” she said excitedly in the clip. “Isn’t this crazy? I love it!”

Though Brynn initially loved her shorter locks, doubt began to creep in just a few hours later. Returning to Instagram, she confessed that the change might have been a bit too drastic.

“I think we went too far,” she admitted with a nervous laugh. “He just kept cutting.”

In a caption accompanying the video, she added, “I don’t know how we feel rn.”

Despite her moment of uncertainty, we have to admit: Brynn pulls off the shorter style effortlessly.

Brynn’s hair transformation came just days after the Real Housewives of New York City Season 15 premiere, where she shared several major life updates. Among them, she introduced her new dog, Sugar, and showed off her upgraded apartment in Gramercy Park.

“I left the West Village and migrated to Gramercy Park,” Brynn revealed in the premiere episode. “I needed a bigger space because I’m expanding my family.” She added with a laugh, “I’ve had a baby. It’s a puppy.”

A graduate of Purdue University with a degree in public relations and advertising, Brynn now works as a marketing and communications consultant for some of the world’s top brands.

In a recent interview with BravoTV.com, Brynn opened up about the realities of her job, clarifying that it’s far from glamorous.

“So, I wake up in the morning, and I go on Slack and then I send emails and I make decks,” she explained. “There’s not anything glamorous about being a consultant. I’m not [doing] anything, like, glamorous. I’m not starting an alcohol brand, I don’t work in fashion, so I’m not like a street influencer.”

She added, “Like most Americans, it’s just more like 9 to 5. I sit in front of a desk and count the time until I can go get coffee or go to lunch, you know?”

Though Brynn downplays the glitz of her career, it’s clear that her success speaks for itself. Whether she’s rocking a new haircut or handling high-profile clients, Brynn continues to shine both on and off the screen.
