Lisa Barlow Claims Jen Shah Is ‘Only Dangerous to the Elderly’
Jen Shah was undeniably at the center of the drama during her three seasons on Real Housewives of Salt Lake City. Her shocking 2021 arrest left fans and fellow cast members reeling. After pleading guilty to conspiracy to commit wire fraud in connection with a telemarketing scheme that targeted the elderly, Jen received a 6.5-year prison sentence. Despite serving her time at the Federal Prison Camp in Bryan, Texas, Jen continues to be a hot topic on RHOSLC. And now, it appears that Lisa Barlow might be reconsidering her stance on Jen.
Could Lisa Barlow and Jen Shah Reconnect?
In Season 4, RHOSLC star Heather Gay claimed that Jen Shah was responsible for her infamous black eye. Jen, from behind bars, was quick to deny any involvement. During this tumultuous period, Lisa expressed that the entire cast had been traumatized by their interactions with Jen.
“Until you’ve experienced that or had Jen almost beat you up in a van or go from laughing to attacking you, you don’t know what it’s like,” Lisa shared at the time. “In a way, she gave all of us a black eye with her actions.”
However, it seems that Lisa’s perspective on Jen might be softening. In a recent appearance on the Scheananigans podcast with Vanderpump Rules star Scheana Shay, Lisa shed new light on her current feelings toward Jen.
“Jail Mail” and a Possible Reconciliation
When asked if she stays in touch with any former castmates or has received any “jail mail,” Lisa laughed. “Oh my gosh, jail mail! No, but she did tell [Murilo] that when she gets out of prison, she’d like to have a relationship with me and Meredith [Marks]. So, that was like our jail mail.”
Scheana, clearly intrigued, pressed further: “How do you feel about that?”
Lisa revealed that despite everything, there had been a small exchange between her and Jen on Mother’s Day. “We did exchange one text where she said, ‘Happy Mother’s Day,’ and I responded back. But, you know, Jen’s crazy—though she’s harmless at the end of the day, unless you’re elderly,” Lisa joked.
The comment may have been in jest, but for Jen’s victims, it likely wouldn’t land well. Still, the real question remains: why is Lisa now open to rekindling a friendship with Jen once she’s released from prison?
What’s Next for the RHOSLC Cast?
As Lisa’s stance on Jen continues to evolve, it’s unclear how this potential reconciliation will play out. Will Lisa truly welcome Jen back into her life, or is this just speculation? Fans will have to wait and see how the dynamics shift once Jen is free.
