Mia Thornton Shocks: Harsh Words About Gizelle Bryant’s Daughters Cut from the Show

The latest argument between Mia Thornton and Gizelle Bryant on The Real Housewives of Potomac turned out to be far more intense than what viewers saw on Sunday night’s episode.

According to a December 23 report by The Jasmine Brand, in addition to criticizing Gizelle’s daughters – Grace (20 years old) and twins Adore and Angel (18 years old) – for allegedly “sneaking boys into their home,” Mia Thornton was accused of calling the girls “wh*res” during a filmed scene. Later, she reportedly begged producers to cut the shocking remarks from the episode.

The On-Camera Clash

In the episode, Gizelle, 54, confronted Mia, 40, after Mia accused her of portraying her family life as “perfect” by only posting a “highlight reel” on social media.

“You seem like you’re lashing out a bit. We don’t bring up children. We don’t talk about each other’s children, and you brought up mine,” Gizelle said. She continued, “You and I had a discussion when we were in [the Dominican Republic]; that was last year. I have three girls that are teenagers. If they’re sneaking a boy into the house, that’s par for the course. That’s what happens with teenagers. I don’t know whether you know that or not. I snuck boys in myself.”

While Gizelle admitted that Mia’s claims about her daughters were true, she condemned her co-star for bringing up the family drama on camera. Ashley Darby, 36, also found Mia’s actions inappropriate.

“The fact that Mia even wants to double down on her comment instead of saying, ‘Oh, I spoke out of anger,’ or, ‘I misspoke. I’m sorry,’—this is the time to at least say something remorseful. Have some contrition,” Ashley shared in a cast confessional.

Harsh Comments Cut from the Show

As reported by The Jasmine Brand, the argument escalated far beyond what viewers saw. Mia allegedly called Gizelle’s daughters “wh*res” multiple times during the dinner party. Both Mia and Gizelle reportedly pleaded with producers to remove the offensive remarks from the final cut of the episode.

Commenting on Mia’s behavior, Gizelle remarked in a confessional:
“Who you were when you were their age — that ain’t them. So stop it.”

Unresolved Tensions

Although much of the harsh exchange was edited out, the tensions between Mia and Gizelle remain unresolved, leaving fans eager to see how their relationship develops in future episodes.

Season nine of The Real Housewives of Potomac airs Sundays at 8/7c on Bravo.
