Karen’s comments suggest she’s not convinced by Stacey and TJ’s relationship, and it doesn’t seem like she’s holding out hope for the couple’s future. During Episode 2, Stacey mentioned that she believed her relationship with TJ was headed toward marriage, but Karen had other thoughts.
